Nordic Athletes Felixia Banck and Tove Njåstad Make Their Mark at TIMBERSPORTS® International Women’s Cup 2024

This past weekend saw Nordic athletes Felixia Banck of Denmark and Tove Njåstad of Sweden competing among the world's elite at the TIMBERSPORTS® International Women’s Cup 2024. Despite tough competition, both athletes demonstrated skill and determination against the world's top athletes.

On August 25th, the renowned Vogtland Arena in Germany hosted the world’s top 14 female TIMBERSPORTS® athletes. Felixia Banck, making her debut, and Tove Njåstad, in her second appearance, battled the elite in three disciplines: the Stock Saw, Single Buck, and Underhand Chop.

Both athletes faced stiff competition from across Europe, North America, and Oceania. By the end of the event, Banck finished in tenth place, while Njåstad secured the ninth place, showcasing significant progress on the international stage. Erin Lavoie from the USA clinched the title, continuing her reign as the champion, followed by Canada's Stephanie Naud and Karolina Ubanová from the Czech Republic in third.

"It was a tremendous experience competing against such skilled athletes from all over the world," said Felixia Banck. "I aimed to beat my personal records and show what I am capable of, but it didn't go as planned. It's back to training for me, aiming for more competitions."

"I'm pleased with the competition and did the best I could. I tried to have fun all the way through and feel that I succeeded in that," says Tove Njåstad, continuing: "Sometimes I forget that I'm still quite new to the sport, and when I reflect on it, my development over the past two years feels almost surreal."

Both athletes are scheduled to return to their training regimes, preparing for upcoming events and aiming to climb higher in the international rankings.
